五陵郭是日本第一座西洋式城堡，建于公元1864年。城廓呈五角星形，五陵郭位于日本北海道西南部港市函馆内，是短暂的虾夷共和王朝的主要防御要塞（虾夷：北海道的旧称）。城堡内部采用没有死角的建筑设计，有高达20公尺的城墙，城外有护城河环绕，此地就是著名的“箱馆战争”的舞台

Mount Hakodate is a 334 meter high, wooded mountain near central Hakodate. On clear days and nights, the views from the mountain are spectacular and also considered as one of Japan most beautiful night scenery.

Facilities at the summit, which is accessible by ropeway, bus or car, include observation platforms (free of charge), souvenir shops, a cafe and a cafeteria style restaurant.
