Iyashino Sato (いやしの里) is an old village located near Mt Fuji. The village was destroyed by landslide during 1966 typhoon. 40 years later, the village's traditional thatched roofed house was reconstructed and reopened as an open air museum and traditional craft village. Nowadays the village is made up of more than 20 houses converted into shops, museums and galleries.
Not only that, visitors can also try various traditional Japanese clothes such as kimono, samurai clothes, yukata, and so on for an affordable price. Only ¥1,000 visitors can dress up and walk around with Japanese traditional clothes. The most recommended is to dress up as samurai or lady in kimono and take picture with the village and Mount Fuji as the background.

The main transportation system to reach Iyashi no Sato is by using bus.
