Then we made our way to the iconic A-Bomb Dome, walked along the Motoyasu River, and took the ferry to Miyajima Island to see the famous floating torii gate of Itsukushima Shrine and the deer that roam freely around the island. What an extraordinary day. Our driver Mr Fukushima was very professional and patient throughout — his English was limited but he always had the translation app ready and communication was never a problem. Stephanie from the operations team was also very helpful and responsive from the very first inquiry.
