DESCRIPTION
Mount Fuji (富士山) is Japan’s highest mountain at 3,776 meters and an active volcano, visible from Tokyo and Yokohama. A UNESCO World Heritage site, it’s popular for climbing during the official season from July to mid-September, offering stunning sunrise views. Trails take 5–6 hours to ascend and 3–5 hours to descend.
Visitors also enjoy Mount Fuji from Hakone and Lake Kawaguchi, famous for hot springs, scenic views, and photography. The mountain has four seasons: cherry blossoms in spring, climbing in summer, colorful foliage in autumn, and snow-covered peaks in winter.
