Furano is renowned for its lavender fields, which begin blooming in late June and reach their peak from July to August.

The region features many colorful flower fields, but the most famous spot for lavender is Farm Tomita. The farm offers free entrance and features cafés and shops selling a wide range of lavender products, making it a must-visit destination for nature and flower enthusiasts.

Biei (美瑛) is famous for its gently rolling hills and vast, colorful fields. The area northwest of the town center is called Patchwork Road, while the area south of the town center is known as Panorama Road.

Hokkaido is renowned for its dairy products, especially cheese. At Furano Cheese Factory, visitors can observe the cheese-making process through viewing windows and sample a variety of cheeses, including unique black cheese colored with squid ink.

The facility also features an ice cream factory, a pizza factory, and offers hands-on workshops where visitors can make butter, ice cream, bread, and cheese, making it a fun and educational experience for all ages.

Furano has been producing local wines since 1972. The Furano Wine Factory is open to the public and offers free wine tasting, allowing visitors to sample a variety of regional wines. Nearby, the Restaurant Winehouse serves Western-style dishes that can be paired with the wines for a complete culinary experience.

Visitors can also explore the Grape Juice Factory, located about 1.5 km north of the Wine Factory. Here, you can observe the grape juice production process through viewing windows and enjoy fresh grape juice tastings.
