DESCRIPTION
Farm Tomita is located in Nakafurano and is widely regarded as the birthplace of lavender tourism in Hokkaido. The farm became famous in the 1970s when images of its lavender fields were featured in national advertising campaigns, helping establish Furano as one of Japan's top flower destinations.
From late June through early August, visitors can enjoy spectacular lavender fields in full bloom. Beyond lavender, the farm also features colorful flower gardens planted with poppies, salvias, marigolds, cosmos, and many other seasonal flowers.
One of the highlights of Farm Tomita is the famous Irodori Field, where flowers are planted in colorful stripes across rolling hills, creating one of Hokkaido's most photographed landscapes.
The farm also offers cafés, gift shops, and specialty products made from lavender, including lavender ice cream, perfumes, soaps, and essential oils.
