Wanna see wild monkeys taking bath in natural hot spring? You can see that in Jigokudani Monkey Park. This park is inhabited by Japanese Macaques, knows as Snow Monkeys. This park is located in the monkey's natural habitat in the forests of Jigokudani Valley in Yamanouchi.

The monkeys here are accustomed to humans. You can observe monkeys from very close and monkeys mostly completely ignore their human guest. However it is naturally prohibited to touch or feed the monkeys.

Monkeys enter the bath around the year and the park opens all year around. However it is said that bathing monkeys are mostly seen in winter time with the best season in January and February.

To reach the monkey park, you will need to walk appx 30 minutes walk from the parking lot. This place is very suitable for group who like nature and want to do a little hiking
