SUMMARY
SCMAGLEV and Railway Park is a fascinating railway museum operated by Central Japan Railway Company (JR Central). The museum showcases the history of Japan's railways, from steam locomotives and Shinkansen trains to the latest superconducting maglev technology.

DESCRIPTION

SCMAGLEV and Railway Park is located in Nagoya and is dedicated to preserving and showcasing the technological achievements of Japan's railway industry.

The museum displays more than 35 railway vehicles, including historic steam locomotives, conventional trains, multiple generations of Shinkansen, and the cutting-edge SCMaglev trains that represent the future of high-speed transportation.

Visitors can explore interactive exhibits covering railway technology, train operations, safety systems, and railway engineering. Several simulators allow guests to experience driving a Shinkansen or operating a conventional train.

One of the museum's highlights is the impressive collection of Shinkansen trains, including the famous Series 0, Series 100, and newer models that have transformed transportation across Japan.

The SCMaglev exhibition introduces visitors to the future Chuo Shinkansen project and demonstrates how magnetic levitation technology enables trains to travel at speeds exceeding 500 km/h.

The museum also features a railway diorama, observation decks, educational displays, and family-friendly activities, making it one of the most popular attractions in Nagoya for both children and adults.
