DESCRIPTION
Umeda (梅田), located in the northern part of Osaka, is one of the city’s two major downtown areas alongside Namba. Umeda is a lively district filled with endless shopping, dining, accommodation, and entertainment options. You’ll find numerous department stores, electronic shops, restaurants, and karaoke spots — making it one of the best areas to experience modern Osaka.
One of Umeda’s most iconic landmarks is the Umeda Sky Building, a striking twin-tower skyscraper connected by a rooftop observatory. From the top, visitors can enjoy a stunning panoramic view of Osaka city. It takes about 20 minutes on foot from Umeda Station to reach the building.
Another popular attraction in Umeda is the HEP (Hankyu Entertainment Park), home to a large red Ferris wheel that offers a fun and romantic view over the city skyline.
