DESCRIPTION
Iyashino Sato (いやしの里) is a historic village located near Mount Fuji. Originally destroyed by a landslide during the 1966 typhoon, the village was reconstructed 40 years later as an open-air museum and traditional craft village. Today, it features over 20 thatched-roof houses converted into shops, museums, and galleries.
Visitors can also experience traditional Japanese attire, including kimono, samurai costumes, yukata, and more, for an affordable price of ¥1,000. Dressing up allows you to stroll through the village and take pictures with Mount Fuji as the backdrop. The most popular options are samurai and kimono outfits, perfect for memorable photos.
