DESCRIPTION

Lake Kawaguchiko (河口湖) is one of the fuji five lakes. Lake Kawaguchi is famous as a hot spring resort town with views of Mount Fuji.

You can see Mount Fuji best from the lake's northern shores, especially amazing during cherry blossom season around mid April and the autumn colors around the first half of November.

Please understand that even though Mount Fuji is very close to Lake Kawaguchi, there are times you will not see Mount Fuji due to clouds. Visibility tends to be best in early mornings and alte afternoons.

Another way to enjoy the great view of Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi is by boarding Kachi Kachi Ropeway.

Access

The main transportation system to reach Lake Kawaguchi is by using bus.
