DESCRIPTION

Lake Kawaguchiko (河口湖) is one of the Fuji Five Lakes and a popular hot spring resort town with stunning views of Mount Fuji.

The best views of Mount Fuji can be seen from the lake’s northern shores, especially during cherry blossom season in mid-April and the autumn foliage in early November.

Please note that even though Mount Fuji is very close to Lake Kawaguchi, it may sometimes be obscured by clouds. The clearest visibility is usually in the early morning and late afternoon.

Another way to enjoy breathtaking views of Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchiko is by riding the Kachi Kachi Ropeway.

Access

The easiest way to reach Lake Kawaguchiko is by bus from nearby stations or major locations.

By Car
