DESCRIPTION
Shibuya (渋谷) is a popular shopping, dining and entertainment district in Tokyo. You can find over a dozen of major department store branches, cafes, etc in Shibuya.
Besides entertainment, there are 3 famous thing to see in Shibuya.
1 Hachiko Statue
Hachiko is a name of Akita dog who is known very loyal to its owner. Hachiko always waited in front of the station for its owner. Furthermore Hachiko also kept waiting even though the owner had died.
Hachiko statue is located just in front of the station and often be used as a gathering place. You can see lots of visitors taking selfie here.
2 Shibuya Crossing
Located just in front of Shibuya Station, Shibuya crossing is known as the world's most crowded crossing. Once the lights turn green, people from all directions cross this Shibuya crossing. There are over 1000 people crossing during peak times.
3 Yoyogi Park
Yoyogi Park (代々木公園, Yoyogi Kōen) is one of the largest park in Tokyo which make a great place for jogging, picnicking, seeing sakura, and other outdoor activities.
Best route to visit Shibuya Area:
Shibuya -> Yoyogi Park -> Harajuku
