DESCRIPTION
Mt. Moiwa is a 531-meter mountain located just southwest of central Sapporo. For decades, it has been one of the city's most popular sightseeing destinations thanks to its stunning views and convenient access.
The easiest way to reach the summit is by taking the Mt. Moiwa Ropeway, followed by the Moriscar mini cable car that transports visitors to the observation deck near the summit.
From the top, visitors can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of Sapporo City, Ishikari Bay, and the surrounding mountains. During the daytime, the scenery stretches far across the city, while at night the illuminated cityscape creates one of Japan's most spectacular urban night views.
The summit observation area also features restaurants, souvenir shops, and the famous Bell of Happiness, a popular photo spot for couples.
