DESCRIPTION
Universal Studios Japan (USJ) is the first Universal Studios theme park built in Asia. Opened in March 2001 in the Osaka Bay Area, it has become one of Japan’s most visited amusement parks, second only to Tokyo Disney Resort.
Visitors can enjoy a wide variety of attractions — from fun family-friendly rides to exciting roller coasters and movie-themed simulators based on hit films like Spider-Man, Back to the Future, Terminator 2, and Jurassic Park.
Beyond the rides, USJ offers countless opportunities to meet and take photos with beloved character mascots such as Snoopy, Hello Kitty, and Minions. There are also spectacular live shows held daily, including an illuminated night parade that lights up the park streets.
Just outside the park gates lies Universal Citywalk Osaka, a lively entertainment and shopping complex. Here you’ll find official Universal Studios hotels, restaurants, and shops offering both USJ merchandise and Osaka souvenirs — the perfect way to complete your Universal experience.
