MoN Takanawa: The Museum of Narratives opened on March 28, 2026, as part of the Takanawa Gateway City development in Minato, Tokyo.

The museum is designed as a place for stories, exhibitions, performances and cultural exchange. Its programming combines elements of traditional Japanese culture with contemporary art, technology and future-oriented themes.

The building's exterior was designed by Kengo Kuma and Associates. The museum forms part of the new district around Takanawa Gateway Station, where offices, shops, restaurants, hotels and public spaces are being developed.

Exhibitions and event schedules may change throughout the year. Some performances or special programs may require separate reservations or tickets even when general areas are accessible.

The nearest major access point is Takanawa Gateway Station on the JR Yamanote and Keihin-Tohoku lines. Sengakuji Station is also within walking distance. Visitors should check the museum's official calendar, ticket details and closing days before travelling.
