MoN Takanawa Museum of Narratives Opens in Tokyo

MoN Takanawa: The Museum of Narratives opened on March 28, 2026, as part of the Takanawa Gateway City development in Minato, Tokyo.

The museum is designed as a place for stories, exhibitions, performances and cultural exchange. Its programming combines elements of traditional Japanese culture with contemporary art, technology and future-oriented themes.

The building's exterior was designed by Kengo Kuma and Associates. The museum forms part of the new district around Takanawa Gateway Station, where offices, shops, restaurants, hotels and public spaces are being developed.
