Tokyo DisneySea Sets Final Date for Aquatopia

Tokyo DisneySea confirmed that Aquatopia in Port Discovery will permanently close after its final operating day on September 14, 2026.

The trackless water attraction opened with Tokyo DisneySea in 2001. Its closure is connected to a larger redevelopment of Port Discovery, where new attractions and facilities are planned.

Before the permanent closure, Aquatopia is scheduled to operate a seasonal soaking version as part of Tokyo Disney Resort's summer program. Temporary closures may be required while the attraction is prepared for the seasonal operation.

Travellers visiting specifically for Aquatopia should check the official operating calendar because maintenance, weather and crowd conditions can affect daily availability. Entry to Tokyo DisneySea does not guarantee access to every attraction.

Details and opening dates for all replacement attractions may be announced separately as construction progresses. Visitors travelling after September 14 should expect barriers or construction activity in parts of Port Discovery.
